Hello, all, I am wishing to start a model train club in my area, currently there are none nearby, the closest being an hr. away and then 2-and three and so on. I am seeking from you, tips and suggestions on how to go about this and how to get the word out to individuals in my area. My area is Statesville, NC.
Thanks all , I await your reply. 2-27-2010

Hi I was waiting to see if someone in your area might offer to contact you. Your very ambitious to do this.
You get lots of interest around the holidays but it too late then 'cause you would need to do lots of setup before hand. So. All I can think of is post some 8x11 notices with those little tear off tags at the bottom at your super markets and drug stores in the area where ever there is a bulliten boards.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Call any local radio or TV stations in your area and ask if they give any public service announcements over the air. If they do then send them one about your new club. Radio and televisionb reaches a lot of people and chances are there are a lot of people in your area who chances are could hear your announcement. People who would love to join a club like you are planning.
